Mint Camera SLR670-X Instant Film Camera (Silver)
Key Features
  • Accepts Polaroid SX-70 and 600 Films
  • Four-Element 116mm f/8 Lens
  • Folding SLR with Optical TTL Viewfinder
  • Manual Focus Design
A classic updated for greater shooting versatility, the Mint SLR670-X is a revised Polaroid SX-70 Alpha 1 instant film camera, which has been fitted with a Time Machine for manual exposure control and more flexible shooting capabilities. Still sporting the distinctive folding design, this SLR camera features an optical TTL viewfinder along with a 116mm f/8 lens, which has a four-element optical design along with manual focus operation and a 10" minimum focusing distance. Distinguishing itself from its classic heritage, though, the SLR670-X features a unique Time Machine module, which enables manual shutter speed adjustment along with two auto settings—one for ISO 600, Polaroid 600-type film, and one for ISO 100, SX-70-type film. This module also incorporates a 2.5mm audio port that can be used for syncing an external flash for more creative shooting possibilities. Also differentiating itself from the classic look, this camera's original leather covers have been replaced with durable and sophisticated chrome-finished metal covers.

What is the difference between the SLR670-S and the SLR670-X?
Asked by: Hamish
The Mint Camera SLR670-X Ming Edition Instant Film Camera (Silver) (B&H# MISLR670XSL) features a built-in module which the manufacturer calls a “Time Machine.” That feature enables manual shutter speed setting and two automatic settings, one for ISO 640 speed film (called 600 film) and one for ISO 160 speed film (called SX-70). That’s especially helpful as it will allow you to adjust for different lighting conditions, too. The version of the Time Machine included as part of the SLR670-X even includes a 2.5mm flash sync port for connecting the camera to an external flash. In contrast, with the Mint Camera SLR670-S Instant Film Camera (Black) (B&H# MISLR670S) uses a different and external Time Machine module and it must be removed in order to shoot with ISO 160 speed film (called SX-70).

I don't see where the flash could be attached with the shutter speed mechanism on top. Is this possible?
Asked by: Jeffery
The flash would be mounted where the Time Machine goes. The Time Machine cannot be used at the same time with the flash.
