How many LED panels can be slaved together ...

How many LED panels can be slaved together simultaneously?

You can do 0 to 11 lights at a time. So 12 really. Unfortunately the app is very finicky. I've been able to have it work once and not again. Maybe I need to update all three phones I tried it on, but who knows. I wouldn't except to be able to rely on the app during a shoot. The lights do work great without it. Really fantastic and versatile set of studio lights. And if you get batteries they are great for hand held and insert lighting.

Does the bottom barn door keep the light from tilting down?

No and yes. The light have two mounting holes. One on the bottom and the other on the side. If you use the whole on the button then it prevents you from tilting the light down because its frame hits the stand. But if you use the side whole the light will move freely up and down with no issues.

No, the GVM 800-D are great units but not designed for creative shoots outdoors. We highly suggest cobs system with more output and light shaping tools flexibility. I can only answer as far as video is concerned and my cameras are typically set not higher then 60fps. At that I don't see anything.

They don't warm up at all... Keep them on as long as you wish. I have two perched on my desk as zoom meeting lights, but I leave them on as mood lights on cool temp against the winter blues.
