The tan Fraser Optics 14x41 S250 Stedi-Eye Image-Stabilized Binoculars employ a gyroscopic stabilization mechanism to virtually eliminate the appearance of hand shake, vibration, and platform movement by moving a precisely balanced gimbal that holds the prism and lens assembly to make the image appear steady.

High-magnification optics such as these are extremely prone to the appearance of visible hand shake, which interferes with clear and immersive views. Through the use of image stabilization (IS), users can enjoy high-power/long-distance observations without the distracting shake or the need for tripods or other support systems normally required to achieve steady images. The IS runs on one included CR123 battery, with a spare also included, and when not using the IS, the optic will operate as a conventional pair of binoculars.

Built for law enforcement, military, and naval personnel, professional hunters, and avid outdoor enthusiasts, the glass-reinforced polycarbonate housing is made to withstand the harshest environments and brutal conditions. It is nitrogen filled and sealed to be waterproof, submersible, and resistant to internal fogging. If they fall overboard, the housing is also buoyant so it can be easily retrieved. A hand strap and finger ridges add grip security while the silicone exterior wrapping provides a slip-resistant grip.
