This VH-A30 Tilt Head for Monopods from Oben provides the support and control you need when you're shooting nature, wildlife, and sports. The head features a load capacity of 33 lb, making it sturdy and strong enough for any camera and lens combination you're likely to use on a monopod. The solidly-built head features 180° of vertical tilt with an ergonomic tilt lock that's located right where you hold your monopod, so effortless friction adjustment can be done with one hand.

The VH-A30 boasts durable aluminum construction that will stand up to the most demanding use, and the head is equipped with an Arca-type QR-20 quick release plate that's perfect for quickly mounting and swapping cameras. Additionally, an integrated bubble level helps you level your camera, so your exposures are aligned with the horizon, a plus when you're shooting sports or nature.

Sturdy and Strong
The VH-A30 boasts a load capacity of 33 pounds, which is more than enough for any camera and lens combination you're likely to use on a monopod. Solid aluminum construction weathers the elements and tolerates the most demanding use, whether you're shooting wildlife, nature, or a sporting event.
Light and Compact
If you're going to be running up and down the sidelines to keep up with the action, you can't use gear that slows you down. Weighing less than a pound, when you need to make a quick location change, you can easily slip the tilt head into your coat pocket.
180° Tilt
The ability to quickly change your aim is one thing a monopod does best. The VH-A30 tilt head delivers the flexibility to adjust your camera's angle, and still maintain control over the camera and lens. The VH-A30 tilts a full 90° up or down, and the locking knob lets you easily adjust the tension on the ball.
Bubble Level
Shooting with a monopod makes it challenging to keep your camera level. A glance at the integrated bubble level helps you align your camera with the horizon and keep your shots level.
Quick Release Plate
The ability to quickly attach your camera and lens, and quickly move your camera from a tripod to a monopod, is vital when you're shooting nature, wildlife, and sports. The included QR-20 Quick Release plate lets you mount and unmount your camera from the head with a simple twist of the wrist, and the plate is also available separately, so you can attach one to each of your cameras for fast and effortless swapping.

Can the quick release head be rotated 90 degrees, ...

Can the quick release head be rotated 90 degrees, so it can be used with an L-bracket and lens without a lens foot?
Asked by: Dennis
Yes. The receiver plate with the clamp mechanism is screwed to the tilt mechanism. It can be removed to allow rotating the receiver plate in all four directions, with indents on the bottom that line up with the anti-rotation tabs on the top of the tilt mechanism. It's torqued down fairly tight, so you'll need to apply some force to the included Allen key which fits it.

Can the clamp be turned 90º so arca plates are oriented left-to-right instead of front-to-back?
Asked by: Philip
Yes. You may use a hex key to reposition the quick release clamp on the Oben VH-A30 Tilt Head so it may be rotated 90 degrees so the head may be used to tilt the camera left-to-right instead of front-to-back.

Can the quick release be rotated 90 degrees, so ...

Can the quick release be rotated 90 degrees, so one can use this head with an L-bracket (plus lens with no tripod collar)?
Asked by: Dennis
Yes, the receiving plate with the clamp can be removed and reattached in all four directions. There are indentations on the bottom for both front/back or left/right orientation. The Allen wrench included with the head fits the screw holding the receiver/clamp plate to the tilt mechanism. It's torqued down fairly tight so it will take some force to loosen it.

Can this be use with iFootage monopod ?
Asked by: Kirit
This has the standard 3/8"-16 mounting threads that most tripod and monopods use. While I am pretty certain most of the iFootage monopods come with a 1/4"-20 / 3/8"-16 spring-loaded mounting screw, if for any reason the screw is too small, you are able to simply use a bushing reducer for it to work on almost all systems.
