Unfortunately it is not designed to be used with a tripod in that way.

Is the iPad Pro tray included?
I use the magnetic Mic Mount and it does not include the tray if I understand the type of tray you are asking about. The picture on the right of the question aptly portrays the stand mount. I really like the magnetic mount for my large Ipad Pro. I am a church keyboard person &I use it with Forscore for displaying all of my music rather than the printed music.
