Levenhuk Skyline PLUS Overview

Designed for intermediate users, the Levenhuk Skyline PLUS 130S 130mm f/7 Reflector EQ Telescope is intended to take astronomic observation to the next level by providing you with a more advanced mount that allows you to find objects by their celestial coordinates and track them as they make their way across the night sky.

Meant to give you a complete setup for viewing the moon, planets, and deep-sky objects like galaxies and nebulae, its manual German equatorial mount has precise Right Ascension (RA) and Declination indicators for astronomical navigation and dual slow-motion cables to track your object with accuracy and reduced vibrations. An adjustable-height aluminum tripod provides a stable platform for sky watching and is equipped with a tray to hold eyepieces, filters, phones, star charts, and other accessories.

Two eyepieces provide high and low magnifications with a 2x Barlow lens that doubles the power of each eyepiece so you can enjoy magnification as high as 180x for teasing out details of deep-sky objects that would normally remain hidden from sight. To make finding your near or deep-sky object of interest faster, and to make star-hopping navigation easier, Levenhuk includes a low-power 6x24 finderscope.

Optical Tube Assembly

  • Large 130mm aperture to view objects of interest within our solar system like the moon and planets with the ability to reach beyond and observe spinning galaxies and wispy nebulae
  • Long 900mm focal length produces the high magnification potential required for deep-sky viewing
  • Newtonian reflector configuration provides a larger aperture that is practical with a traditional refractor design
  • Sturdy and reliable rack-and-pinion focuser
  • 1.25" drawtube accepts the most common eyepieces and accessories

Mount and Tripod

Mount:
  • Manual German equatorial style
  • Etched Right Ascension and Declination scales
  • Includes counterweight and shaft to enable proper balancing of the optical tube and accessories for free and easy movement
  • Flexible controllers with large knurled knobs allow precise control with reduced vibrations
Tripod:
  • Lightweight and durable aluminum legs
  • 2-stage adjustable height allows for easy use by most people
  • Tray to hold accessories such as eyepieces, filters, and lights

Included Accessories

Eyepieces:
  • 1.25" diameter barrel accept most 1.25" astronomical filters
  • 25mm eyepiece yields a low 36x power, ideal for wide-field observation of the moon and constellations
  • High-power 10mm eyepiece produces 90x for detailed views of the lunar surface, planetary systems, and bright deep-sky objects
Barlow Lens:
  • Doubles the magnification of any eyepiece used with it
  • Increases eyepiece power without affecting eye relief, making it ideal for high-magnification deep-sky observations
Finderscope:
  • Low 6x power presents a wide field of view for easier alignment and faster star-hopping navigation
  • 24mm objective is able to resolve most prominent stars and planets without adding excessive bulk or weight to the optical tube
  • Mounting bracket included
