Benro 3XD Reviews

Disapointing they do not work with Nikon

The company does not offer much documentation on this product, and its meant for all cameras except Nikon cameras. It's fantastic as a stabilizer, and the app works beautifully, but the problem is that it is most useful for canon or sony users.

Yes, the Canon Vixia HF G60 will work with the Benro 3XD gimbal. The back portion of the camcorder may interfere with the back part of the gimbal when fully tilted.

on a review, it said it doesn't work well with Nikon. How come this stabilizer doesn't work for all cameras? What make it works better with Canon and Sony?
Asked by: John
That depends on what you are expecting of the gimbal. if the question is in regards to balancing the camera then the gimbal works equally well with cameras from any manufacturer. If you are referring to the ability to control the camera through the gimbal then that has more to do with Nikon than Benro. While there are some gimbals that support control of Nikon cameras they usually have less features than Canon Panasonic or Sony because of how Nikon programs their cameras. Their newer models such as the Z7 or Z7 II are more capable of working with gimbals but most of their cameras have limited support at best. If you just need to stabilize your camera while moving The Benro 3xd will do great, however, if you specifically want the ability to control the camera through the gimbal then this may not be the best option for you.

Due to the form factor of that camera, we do not recommend this gimbal to be used with the Blackmagic Pocket.

Will this work with my nikon d7200?
Asked by: Ariel
After getting ahold of the company, realized that this works as a gimble without a problem with any camera the problem is that they do not support any Nikon camera, so you can not actually use any of the features such as shooting from the handles or use the app to do timelapse with the tracking it offers or anything like that. For Nikon users, it becomes an expensive gimble device. I was really disappointed. And to top it off none of this information is on any website that i was able to find. Including this one b&H photo.
