Hikvision DS-KD-M Overview

The DS-KD-M is a MIFARE card reader module compatible with the DS-KD8003-IME1 video intercom and other Hikvision video intercom module products. It can unlock doors via swiping a MIFARE card. Additionally, it allows for the issuance of new cards and is equipped with eight dip switches.

This device is housed in an IP65-rated enclosure for protection from water.

How would i access the door without any cards to tigger the door via card reader?

The Hikvision DS-KD-M Card Reader Module (MIFARE) BH #HIDSKDM would need to be de-activated so the door could be opened manually without restriction.

Any cards are included to use for accessibility? Can i add the access card on iPhone wallet app

The Hikvision DS-KD-M Card Reader Module (MIFARE) BH #HIDSKDM does not include any cards. It will not integrate with the Apple Wallet app.

Is the RS485 cable required to connect this to the main video intercom module included in the box?

Yes. The Hikvision DS-KD-M Card Reader Module (MIFARE) BH #HIDSKDM would require connection via the RS-485 Ethernet as it becomes a networked device. PoE Network Interface(Supports IEEE 802.3af/at-Compliant Devices)
