I want the best of both worlds. I want to shoot landscapes, but I also want to shoot birds and sports. Do I want the A7RIV or the A9II to accomplish these goals? I appreciate people's recommendations.
Asked by: Rick
The A9II is the best possible camera to shoot birds, it has the fastest focusing and shooting speeds with great low light capability. It can also produce great landscape images with very little noise when making large print sizes.

A simple question...I shoot mainly landscapes...is the upgrade from the R3 to R4 worth it?
Asked by: David
An upgrade to the A7R IV would be worth it based on the higher resolution it offers. This particularly good for those looking for the highest possible image quality for publication or enlargements.

I am wondering how the a7Riv will perform with a lens that is not a GMaster. I have the Z 55 F1.8, the Z 35 F2.8, the 90mm Macro F28, the 16-35 F4, and the 24-70 GMaster. Will all perform well, if not what are the issues ? Thanks
Asked by: Glenn
Just as those lenses will perform at different levels of quality on a 24MP sensor, they will perform at different levels on a 61MP sensor. There's no objective line that you can draw to say this lens will perform adequately and that lens won't--it's a subjective decision that each photographer needs to make. Better lenses will perform better, on 24MP or on 61MP.

Any small-ish camera can overheat when shooting 4K video in a hot environment, but the A7R IV is very unlikely to overheat.

Does the A7RIIII suffer on low light video ...

Does the A7RIIII suffer on low light video performance sense it has 62m compared to the A7III 24m? Or is it pretty much the same? Is the dynamic range up to par as well?
Asked by: Joseph
Hi--the A7 III performs almost to the level of the low-light video king, the A7s II, so if low-light video is the most important aspect for you, the A7 III is probably the better option, although if you shoot in Super35, for instance, you will be getting images with 10MP with the A7 III, but 24MP with the A7R III. The A7R III has great low-light performance, but not quite at the level of the A7 III.
