Can you connect directly to an XLR input? I have a Sony Z190, would like to know if I can draw power from an XLR port.
Asked by: Angelo
That is not possible. The Z190 has 3 Pin XLR inputs for audio, they are not for power. However this light comes with a D-Tap cable for power. If you had a battery like the Core SWX Nano-U98 14.8V Battery with D-Tap you should be able to connect the light to the D-Tap on that battery for power. The Core SWX Nano-U98 is a BP-U style battery as well, meaning it will also power the Z190. https://bhpho.to/2Q6s4Qf

question

Suitable for light painting a car?
Asked by: Hugo
From what we see of light painting cars, it requires precision instruments. This light would be more a mallet in comparison. A high powered flash light with special light diffusers what is needed. At this time B&H does not seem to have appropriate light painting tools. Hopefully soon.
