The miniature mic capsule is easily concealed and features a foam pop shield to reduce vocal plosives. Its omnidirectional polar pattern provides 360 degrees of sound pickup, while the condenser element yields a wide, full-frequency response, giving you a clear and intelligible voice capture.

This lavalier mic can be connected directly to a camera, but that camera must provide plug-in power to the mic. Most cameras have this feature, but you should check your model first. .

The Rode Smart Lav requires 2.7V (plug in power), which the Boya may provide. Also, the Boya BY-WM-6 specs say theat the transmitter has a " lockable" connector, which may prevent the Rode Smart Lav fro fully inserting... This will connect to the H6 via the stereo mini jack located on the mic capsule. Make sure plugin power is turned on for the mic to work.

It probably is, but you will have to go into the menu and turn on the power to the external microphone. By default, it is turned off.
