The 3.5mm TRS external mic input passes wideband audio from 20 Hz to 20 kHz along to the internal mic preamp, which provides robust dynamic range and requires no manipulation of settings or parameters.

If you have a proper app that supports the Rode, it should. With my experience, having the transmitter and receiver in line of sight with each other gives the best results. I have mine about 40-50 feet from each other and it worked great. Hope this helps :)

Would this be a good wireless mic for an activity where you are moving, i.e. yoga teacher?

I teach yoga on Twitch (live classes) and it works pretty well until recently. For some reason I'm suddenly getting interference / audio is cutting out regularly enough that it almost sounds like static noise. Trying to trouble shoot it, as up until now (about 4months of regular use) I've found it to be a great mic. Note that the rabbit foot attachment / fuzzies are terrible though. They will fall off and I haven't bothered using them at all.

What is the range through walls? I also want to know if it will auto connect to the receiver in case the subject moves out of range (like before a wedding ceremony starts the groom goes indoors and I'm set up outside)

The Rode Wireless Go system (as well as other wireless microphone systems) will not transmit audio through walls. Wireless mic systems work by line-of-sight -- the transmitter and receiver need to be able to "see" each other without anything obstructing the signal in order to communicate. The Wireless Go system has an operating range of up to 230 feet (70 meters) line-of-sight. Once the transmitter and receiver have been paired, they will automatically connect when the components are powered on.

I'm a little confused about the "line of sight". Will this unit work for example, 10-20 feet way and if the subject speaking turns around, will it cut out? I need to be able to follow behind someone as they are walking and speaking.

Yeah, the "line of sight" spec is a bit confusing. It makes it sound like the system uses infrared which is crazy. Basically, it does not have the range of older systems because it uses 2.4 ghz, but for what you describe, it should be fine. I walked all around my office - behind walls and people, and it never dropped out. My max distance away was only about 50 feet however. I need to do more testing, but I understand the signal does not travel as far outdoors because it does not have walls and such to bounce the signal off of. I've only had mine a few days, but so far, love it. Much better sound quality than my Sennheiser G3 systems, which become illegal in July 2020 due to frequencies.
