Shoot professional high-definition cinema footage with the Z CAM E2-F6 Full-Frame 6K Cinema Camera with a Canon EF lens mount. The camera features a full-frame sensor with 10-bit 4:2:2 color support and nominal 15 stops of dynamic range, supports timecode, shoots up to 6K at up to 60 fps and 120 fps at 4K, and records data up to 300 Mb/s onto CFast 2.0 media.

Supported recording formats include MOV and MP4 using H.265 for 10-bit recording, and H.264 which supports 8-bit recording. Its HDMI 2.0 port supports 4K60, 10-bit 4:2:2 video output. Audio is recorded in 24-bit 48 kHz using AAC or PCM (PCM for MOV format only) through its 3.5mm stereo jack or via a separately available XLR connector using its 5-pin LEMO port.

The E2-F6 can be controlled via serial ports, a 2.5mm LANC connector, a USB-C port, an Ethernet port, or by the Z Camera iOS app to control the camera via Wi-Fi and to view a live image preview and to configure settings. The camera can record time-lapse and slow motion, and it can even live stream via its Gigabit Ethernet port. You can also control it locally by the buttons along the side of the camera.

The E2-F6 can be powered by a separately available battery using the built-in L-series battery mount, or you can power the camera using a separately available power adapter using its 2-pin LEMO port. The camera also features a 12 VDC 2-pin LEMO power output to provide power to separately available accessories.

will this have an anamorphic mode - if so - what will the resolution be after 2.40 desqueeze?
Asked by: Chris
The resolution after desqueeze will be the same as before desqueeze. The pixels get stretched. You desqueeze in premiere, after recording, not in-camera. I don't know of any camera that desqueezes the recorded image beyond a metadata flag. For display, you can desqueeze the display with whatever monitor you want to use with the camera. Most modern smallHD's offer desqueeze functionality. Also, what lens do you have that squeezes the frame by 2.4x? Most anamorphic lenses squeeze in the range between 1.3x -2x.

So it won't shoot 24fps?

So it won't shoot 24fps?
Asked by: Stephen
The various resolutions listed show the frame rate it will record up to, not the specific frame rates for each resolution. While 24fps is not listed specifically this camera should offer that frame rate for most resolutions.

Can I use the LCD on top of the zcam e2 f6 to quickly confirm a shot comp (not using to pull focus, but just to have an overall impression of the shot comp...Could I pull focus on a ninja v, turn it off, and occasionally glance at the top screen of the zcam to make sure I'm still rolling, etc.? and does the topscreen allow for playback of clips? ...definitely would use this camera with a ninja V, but would prefer to not have it running the whole time once focus is pulled, bcoz of the fan noise/battery drain of the ninja v.
Asked by: Kevin
The LCD on top of the camera will allow you to view playback and a live view of what the camera is capturing, but it is a rather small screen so it may make sense to use an external monitor for more accurate operation.
