Sony SRG-X400 Overview

Capture every point of view in meetings and lectures with the white SRG-X4001080p PTZ Camera with HDMI, IP & 3G-SDI Output from Sony. Out of the box, this camera captures video at resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps. However, an optional license enables you to upgrade the camera for UHD 4K 3840 x 2160 performance. The camera is equipped with an 8.3MP CMOS sensor and a 4.4-88.0mm lens that delivers fields of view of up to 70°. Clear Image Zoom Technology can extend the 20x optical to up to 40x, allowing for frame-filling close-ups in Full HD.

The integrated pan/tilt system allows for 340° panning and 110° tilting at up to 300° and 126° per second respectively. Focusing can be performed manually or set to automatic. The camera outputs video via its HDMI, IP, and 3G-SDI interfaces. PoE+ technology simplifies setup by enabling you to power the camera directly via its network connection. An IR remote commander, mounting hardware, and an HDMI clamp are included in the package.

RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) support for remote viewing over the internet from a web browser
PoE+ simplifies installation—a single IP cable can carry camera power, video image output, and control signals

How effective is the image stabilization at preventing vibrations?

This will depend on the vibrations it encounters. If you plan on installing this camera in a high traffic area that will face constant vibrations, it will help to some degree but not eliminate the issue.

Is zooming continuous from the optical range to the digital zoom range?

Yes, The Sony SRG-X400 1080p PTZ Camera will have a smooth zoom from optical 20x to digital. When you use Clear Image Zoom. When it is set to [ON] in the PAN TILT ZOOM menu, the camera can zoom up to 30× for 4K and 40×for HD.
