How durable is the hard wired cable proving to be? Wd you recommend for someone who travels a lot?

Though I've had this item a couple month now, it hasn't been through a lot of constant connecting rigor, but so far connects to my Thunderbolt input like any other device would. However, should the connection point ever become compromised it could be a problem as it is permanently attached to the drive itself, but I guess you could say that about any device at any point of connection. The drive works great!

Does this support macbook air 2017 model?
Asked by: Muhammad
If this is a 2017 model then it has a Thunderbolt 2 port and this drive will not work directly. It would require the EX Rugged be connected to an externally powered Thunderbolt 3 device that is then connected to the computer with the Apple TB3 to TB2 adapter.
