Is there any type of an adapter tha can be used on a gimbal for the monopod leg?
You can technically use a 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 adapter so you can attach most gimbals, but this may not be stable depending on the adapter piece you are using. I would recommend using something like the Manfrotto FAST GimBoom for this.

Can I replace head with a ball head capable of handling more than 8.8lbs? Whats load capacity of this tripod legs?
At this time we do not sell this tripod without a head. We do offer BH #OBCT3565BZ21 which is the same tripod with a BZ-217T Triple-Action Ball Head that has a 20 pound load capacity. That being said, if you need a video tripod that requires more than 8.8 pounds we highly suggest looking at different systems over buying this tripod and replacing the head.
