ProGrade Digital 128GB UHS-II SDXC Overview

By B&H Photo's

The 128GB UHS-II SDXC Memory Card from ProGrade Digital features a storage capacity of 128GB and takes advantage of the UHS-II bus to support maximum read speeds of 300 MB/s and maximum write speeds of 250 MB/s. This card has also been designed with the V90 Video Speed Class rating, which guarantees minimum write speeds of at least 90 MB/s, allowing the card to be used in DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, camcorders, and digital cinema cameras that produce rich data streams, including 6K, 5K, 4K, UHD 4K, and high bit rate MPEG-4 video. It is also well-suited for raw photos and rapid-fire bursts.

UHS-II cards achieve their speed through an extra row of pins and while this card has been designed for cameras that are UHS-II / V90 compatible, it may be used in devices that do not support UHS-II / V90. However, bear in mind that this card will then default to your device's speed class and bus rating, such as UHS-II and V60, which supports minimum write speeds of 60 MB/s, UHS-II and V30, which supports minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s, or UHS-I and U3, which also supports minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s. If your device does not support U3, this card is compatible with the U1 and Class 10 standards, each of which guarantee minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s.

Built for extreme conditions, ProGrade Digital's 128GB UHS-II SDXC Memory Card is able to withstand temperatures from -13 to 185°F, allowing you to take this card with you into extreme environments, such as snow and deserts. It is also shockproof and X-ray proof, and a built-in write protect switch helps to safeguard your content from being erased.

ProGrade Digital 128GB UHS-II SDXC Reviews

Solid product, good price

It's difficult to review memory cards without tons of data. The fact is the card works... the card performs and keeps up with the demanding write speeds of modern mirrorless cameras... and the product does so with a good price / value. If this is the right size + price point for you, buy it--you'll have no regrets.

Great for high speed shooting

Shooting with a Canon R7 at 30 fps, the ProGrade cards keep up with my shooting and never fill the buffer. I don't want the shooting to pause because of a full buffer, so far I have not missed a shot from buffer being full and writing to the card.

I shoot a Canon R7 at 30fps, so far I have not filled the buffer and had to pause while shooting. The ProGrade speed keeps up with my shooting and I don't miss the shot I'm looking for.

Very Fast

Very fast SDXC cards and so far reliable. I tried these after I lost faith in SanDisk and Lexar. I've had too many failures with those brands. These are quality cards.

Great SD cards

I've used sandisk in the past and had issues, disrupted files on go pro. After speaking tech specialists on BH, they recommended these. Great investment. Don't go cheap, but don't need to break the bank either. still a good item. 128gb is more than enough.

Works great for the Canon C70. For having 128 GB file size, it's quite flexible depending if you want to go corporate AV or cinematic for small rig set up whether commercial, docu, or full narrative. Even shooting the most codec capacity at raw you can shoot at 40 minutes for that card size. With no trouble or hassle. Worth the few hundred over the more expensive cards.

I needed an SD card for my BMPCC4K and this was approved on the Black Magic website. I use these when I don't want to load up a rig with an SSD or when I am using my gimbal for a few quick shots. It's enough storage in 4K and 60fps for smaller shoots.

Will these work on the new Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II cameras?
Asked by: Henry
I don't see why not - it's a fast SD card, and they should be compatible unless there's some weirdness. Of course, remember that the Z7 II and Z7 II are really CFExpress cameras with backup SD slots - a CFExpress card is going to be much faster than any SD card (and Nikon has designed the cameras to take advantage of the super fast CFEXpress card, so they might not have the buffer of a camera designed for slower cards). I don't have a Z6 II or Z7 II, but I do have an original Z7, which has a very small buffer, but a very fast buffer clearing speed. They have increased the buffer in the new models - but by how much?

Does this work with the same codecs and formats that the Tough G does with the a7S III?
Asked by: Ignacio
V90 is currently the the highest possible write speed on an SD card, so on paper, this is one of the more capable SD cards for the A7SIII. It shouldn't differ from the Sony G-series cards in any way, but I'd consider getting CFExpress Type-A cards in order to maximize your camera's potential.

Are these cards 128GB each per card or 2 cards of 64GB each totalling 128GB? The description in the write up is confusing.
Asked by: Soon Huat
Hi, sorry that there is confusion in the listing. Our two packs are two cards each of that capacity. So the 128GB two-pack contains two 128GB cards. I hope that helps, let us know if you have any other questions. -ProGrade Digital
