The CTT-1000L Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod by Oben combines height with light. With longer legs providing more available height than Oben's original CTT-1000 tabletop tripod plus a robust 11-pound weight capacity, it makes an ideal accessory for smartphones, compact and mirrorless cameras, all the way up to full-featured DSLRs. The 3-section extender can be added between the ball head and legs to increase the height by up to an extra 26 inches. This extender places a camera at a higher shooting angle for vlogging, recording an interview, or shooting a portrait. The extender can also be used as an ad hoc selfie stick.

The dual-action ball head incorporates an Arca-Swiss style quick release set, making it compatible with a wide variety of mountable accessories. With independent locking knobs for panning and ball tilt orientation, it takes just moments for you to aim your camera where the action is.

Lightweight Carbon Fiber Construction

Lightweight, yet durable carbon fiber construction will support everything from smartphones to full-featured DSLR cameras without weighing down your camera bag

Extender Column

Raise the ball head up to an additional 26" with this 3-section carbon fiber extension, or use it as a selfie stick when vlogging

Independent Leg Positioning

Each leg can adjust to three locking positions, allowing the tripod to be leveled on uneven terrain or be positioned just inches above ground level

Dual-Action Ball Head

The panning base has a 360° range and degree markings around its circumference for setting up panoramic shots, and the head also features a 90° notch for shooting in portrait orientation. Independent locking knobs allow fine control of your positioning

Arca-Swiss Style Quick Release Compatibility

With Arca-Swiss style compatibility, the ball head can receive a variety of quick release plates, lens collars, and compatible camera L-grips

Removable Rubber Feet With Spikes

On highly polished or glass tabletops, or even car hoods, the rubber feet will prevent moving or slipping. Remove the rubber feet to expose the spike feet for stability on dirt, sand, or gravel

It seems like it doesn't have a hook to hang weight for stabilization. Can someone please confirm?
Asked by: Pulkit
Indeed, the CTT1000L table-top tripod does not have a hook for a counterweight.

Hello. can this be used on a DSLR camera? or is it just for small cameras?
Asked by: Jasmin
Yes, of course. I have about six tripods and the Obens are a favorite (I own both the regular and the long (L) versions of this carbon tripod). As with ANY tripod, be sure to not attach a heavy, long lens to your camera unless you take precautions because the extended weight can tip a tripod over. The Arca-Swiss plate makes attaching your camera much easier. Never let the tripod assume the weight of your camera/lens until you're sure it won't tip. A tripod weight bag/hammock can help (search B&H) or you could use an anchor like an "Orange Screw" (orangescrew.com) - I don't think B&H sells them, but I wish they would.

How big is the base of the tripod?
Asked by: Matthew
Without the legs extended, it's 8.5" between the legs. With the legs fully extended, it's 19" between the legs. This is my backpacking tripod for my Sony a6500 with the 16-70 f/4 lens with an L-bracket. Also, I've used it to get close for table top macro shots.

Looking to use this for backpacking, so size and weight are critical.. Do the weight and folded length shown (1.1 lb and 15 inches) correspond to the complete tripod including the ball head? If so, any idea of the weight and length of the legs with the head removed?
Asked by: David
I use this for backpacking and I highly recommend it. I film on an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Yes, the weight and length include the ball head. The legs by themselves with no ball head weigh 12.3 ounces and the length is 12.25 inches. I highly recommend bringing the extender piece with you if you can spare the weight (the "Long" version comes with it). For me, that extension piece has been extremely helpful when filming around camp.

What is the standing height if you do not extend ...

What is the standing height if you do not extend any legs and do not add the center column so that would be at its sturdiest?
Asked by: Abhijit
I can see the minimum working height (4.4 inches in the specs). I also can see the folded length (15 inches) without spreading the legs in the specs. I am interested in the standing height (when none of the leg sections are extended and the legs are spread out in a typical normal standing position but not spread out completely that we are at minimum working height).

Can the extender tube be installed and remain connected when the tripod is folded/closed for transport, or does the extender tube have to be removed to close up the tripod? And does the listed weight (1.1 lb) include the extender tube?
Asked by: Seth
The weight with the extender tube is 1.1lbs. You can fold and store the tripod with the extender tube attached, but it will be larger even folded up with the extender tube attached.
