You can even use the Siri virtual assistant on your iOS device to control the One SL. No the Sonos One SL will not work as an upfiring surround speaker. It is made to be used as a standard surround left or right speaker.

You can have up to 32 speakers on a Sonos ecosystem. This can be paired to another Sonos speaker to be played as a stereo pair.

I'm trying to figure out the difference in sound quality between this speaker, the Yamaha MusicCast 50 multi-room speaker, the Marshall Stanmore II multi-room speaker, and the Marshall Woburn Multi-Room Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Speaker. I am going to be using the speaker in a separate room from where my Yamaha Aventage RX-A870 receiver is connected to my main speakers. I'll be running the multi-room wireless speaker via Wi-Fi. Can anyone help?
