Steiner M7Xi 4-28x56 Overview

Designed for long-range shooters who are out in the field from first light through late dusk who require highly precise first-shot accuracy, the black Steiner 4-28x56 M7Xi IFS Riflescope offers a suite of technology and features that will give you the confidence you need when every pull of the trigger is critically important. Among the tech and features packed into the riflescope are: An integrated ballistic computer with Bluetooth connectivity to a companion smartphone app, a powerful 7:1 zoom range, an oversized objective, a specially designed partially illuminated long-range reticle, and a wide elevation adjustment range optimized for extreme distances.

The Intelligent Firing Solution (IFS) has an integrated customizable display that provides all the important information you need in real time. The built in ballistic calculator and sensor suite determines the bullet point of impact using information such as temperature, air pressure, inclination, and wind drift as well as bullet, load, and ballistic information you input through the app. Just turn the turrets until the distance and wind correction in the display match the information you've either input or gotten from other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as a Kestrel weather meter, and you will be on target. The display provides information about leveling and the current turret setting so you don't have to take your eye off the target and the entire user interface can be customized to fit the conditions, mission, or personal preference.

The combination of oversized objective lens and broadband multi-coatings maximizes the light-gathering capability and transmission throughout the entire visible spectrum—enhancing reds and blues at the spectral edges, while also providing shooters with an ability to see deep into the shadows that come out with the dawn and at twilight. Complementing these features is an exceptional zoom range that gives you the option of engaging targets at closer range at 4x or scanning the landscape for game, with the ability to dial up the magnification to 28x for positive identification of even small targets at extreme long range.

The heart of the riflescope is made up of the exposed finger-adjustable tactical turrets that offer a precise 0.1 MRAD impact point correction. On the elevation, Steiner utilizes their double rotation turret that enables two full rotations that take you through the wide 260 MIL adjustment range, but unlike conventional multiple-rotation dials, the second rotation dial raises up to cover the first dial so the turret profile remains low. Detents and audible clicks allow you to keep track of adjustments without taking your eye from the ocular. Designed to withstand the rigors of the trail, the M7Xi is built with a robust 34mm one-piece maintube made of lightweight and durable aluminum. The housing is nitrogen filled and sealed to make it submersible to a depth of 66 feet and resistant to internal fogging in extreme weather conditions and temperatures.

Performance
  • Wide 7:1 zoom range, with powerful magnification and oversized objective lens, makes the riflescope ideal for long-range use across vast open expanses such as the prairies of the American West
  • Powerful 4-28x magnification range allows the user to scan the landscape for targets on low power with the ability to zoom in and make detailed identification and precise shot placement at long ranges
  • Massive 56mm objective lens gathers the light required for use in low and challenging light and to ensure views remain bright and clear when observing targets at long range on high magnification
  • Broadband anti-reflection multi-layer lens coatings reduce surface reflections across the entire visible spectrum, improving light transmission, color rendition, and contrast
  • Comfortable 3.5" eye relief provides a generous eye box for flexibility on mounting and reduced eyestrain during extended use
  • Wide 9.2mm exit pupil at 4x going to 2mm at 28x
  • 27-foot field of view at 100 yards on 4x power, 4.2-foot on 28x
MSR 2 Reticle Details
  • First focal plane placement is ideal for long-range precision hunting, shooting, and tactical engagements; the reticle size changes in proportion to the magnification and maintains consistent subtensions throughout the zoom range
  • Version 2 of the FinnAccuracy MSR (Multipurpose Sniper Reticle) duplex crosshair is specifically designed for long-range use
  • Long outer posts on horizontal and upper vertical axes, thin aiming hairs with stadia on all four axes, and center illuminated aiming cross
  • Lower vertical axis has a long hair all the way down with ranging, BDC, and holdover stadia
  • Lower left and right quadrants feature fine milling scale and rapid ranging scale
  • Illuminated cross completely disappears when turned off for unobstructed view
  • Partial illumination with 11 selectable levels: 1-4 when using NVDs, 5-7 for nighttime operations, and 8-11 bright settings for daylight operations
  • Runs on one included CR2032 battery
Intelligent Firing Solution (IFS) System
  • Integrated ballistics calculator with environmental sensor system—temperature, atmospheric pressure, inclination, and wind drift—determines the projectile's point of impact
  • Display provides information about leveling and the current turret setting in the field of view
  • Communicates with smartphone app via Bluetooth connectivity to calculate precise shot placement based on various factors, including load, environmental conditions, range to target, and shooting angle
  • Interface with Kestrel ballistic wind and weather meters through the same app
  • App allows the user to save multiple ballistic profiles for different loads, rifles, and/or calibers
  • Completely customizable display allows user to tailor the information provided, where it is placed in the field of view, and brightness based on the conditions, mission, and personal preference
  • 5-button user interface is simple and intuitive to use in the field
  • IFS sensor system runs on an AA battery that runs independent of the reticle power system, allowing it to work even if reticle illumination battery is dead
Turrets
  • Exposed finger-adjustable tactical turrets enable fast and fine adjustments in the field
  • Precise 0.1 MRAD per click impact point correction
  • Exceptional 260 MIL elevation adjustment range provides the adjustment room required for long-range applications
  • 120 MIL windage adjustment range ensures proper shot placement even with crosswinds
  • Each click adjustment has a distinct tactile and audible indication so the user is not required to look away from the eyepiece while making corrections
  • Pop-up second rotation indicator on elevation turret helps user to quickly know where they are in the adjustment range
  • Side parallax adjustment from 55 yards to infinity
