Covering a versatile wide-angle focal length range, the RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM from Canon is also characterized by its bright f/2.8 constant maximum aperture. This bright design enables working in available light conditions and also affords greater control over depth of field. The range of wide focal lengths suits working in a variety of situations, from landscape to documentary shooting, and this zoom is complemented by an advanced optical design that greatly reduces color fringing and distortion for high clarity and sharpness. An Air-Sphere coating has also been applied to reduce flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in bright conditions.
Complementing the imaging capabilities is an apt Nano USM focus system, which delivers fast, nearly silent autofocus performance with full-time manual focus override. An Image Stabilizer also compensates for up to five stops of camera shake to help produce sharper handheld shots in difficult lighting conditions. A unique Control Ring is also integrated into the lens design for intuitive control over exposure settings from the lens itself. Additionally, this 15-35mm is weather-sealed and has a fluorine coating to protect the front and rear elements.

Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS Reviews
15mm decentered and bad corner
I wanted to love this lens. I bought it new and have sent it in to canon twice to fix centering issues apparent when shooting 15-19mm. They were not successful. Not sure if I got a lemon but figured it out too late.
Great range, especially sharp on the wide end
Sharp lens. I sold the EF 16-35 f/2.8 L Mark II to buy this one and compared them extensively before shipping my old EF to its new owner. My conclusions were that the RF is significantly sharper at the wider focal lengths, but between the 30-35mm focal lengths, the two lenses are quite similar.
Stunning image quality!
Have been using the RF 15-35 for the past few weeks with my Canon R5 and have been blown away with the image quality. Corner to corner tack sharp at every focal length and image stabilization works wonderful. If I had to pick one complaint it would be the weight/size of the lens but I'm willing to accept that given the quality of the images this lens creates.
The Best Lens
It's the one lens that does it all.
Beautiful lens
I rented this and the regular RF 16mm to compare. Of course, this one is the best, in particular for low light action. Just beautiful!
Ring of blur - no good for landscape
Unfortunately I didn't buy this lens at BH, else I would have simply returned it. The lens is well made and has nice features - control ring, etc. It is also very sharp where it is sharp. I used it for landscapes and it always produced a ring of blur, about 20% into the frame from either side when shot at 15mm. The ring of blur would move toward the edge as I zoomed in. It was so bad that it wasn't usable for landscape. I got a loaner from the shop with the same issue. I returned my lens for repair, but the local Canon service center wasn't even able to detect the problem, let alone fix it. The problem is this: At close distance (6 feet / 2m or so) the lens is absolutely sharp edge to edge! But at greater distances of say 30 feet / 10m or more it produced this ring of blur. This makes it unusable for landscape or architectural (outdoor) photography. The camera I used was a Canon R5. I also tried the same lens on a different R5 body - still the same. IBIS on or off didn't make a difference. Eventually I sold all my Canon gear as I didn't find any good wide angle solution.
Nice lens
I am changing over to mirrorless. I already have the RF 24-105 f/4 L. I needed something fast and wide for basketball. This lens works well for that, and it does well as a portrait lens also.
great lens
I really like this lens, very sharp images
