Nanuk 930 Reviews
Excellent, durable case
This is an excellent, customizable case. In hindsight, I would get the version that has wheels. I didn't know it existed. However, this one has additional straps that you can add to make it easier to transport.
Better latches than the Pelican
Both Pelican and Nanuk make great hard cases. I prefer the latches on the Nanuak, they are easier to use.
Well built
Nice large case that is easy to customize and appears to provide excellent protection for the contents.
Awesome Case
I do love the case and organizer a lot. It is just a hair too small to fit my D850 without it pushing the lid up a little. Maybe without the organizer in, it would work better for me but.... I love how organized everything is. So, i will keep it.
Great case . But............
The case is well made and is comparable to Pelican in all but one respect. This has to do with warranty repairs. Unlike it competitor, this case needs to be sent to Canada for warranty issues or repair. This is both time consuming ( declaring the item for customs) and expensive ( shipping ). Check out the NANUK website.. Again well made item with that one caveat. The rest is up to you to decide.
First choice for protecting my gear
This recent purchase was the sixth Nanuk case in four different sizes I've made over the years. After having bought several Pelican cases earlier, I have found that I like the Nanuk quality even better, especially when it comes to the locking mechanism. If you've ever tried to open a Pelican case with cold fingers, you know what I mean. Or if you want to close the Pelican lock quietly, you also know what I mean. Sounds benign at first, but I found that this is way more than just an annoyance in too many situations. While both manufacturers offer top quality, these are two significant reasons why I have converted to Nanuk only.
Pretty Solid
The Nanuk cases keep multiplying here. The latches feel great and the cases feel sturdy. The foam included with the Pelican cases may be slightly denser and easier to work with, but for the price I will definitely be purchasing more Nanuk cases. The Nanuk 930 case has been great for me for a smallish camera with lenses, batteries, cables and a mic.
great case
Very pleased with this case, works well for my 2 camera bodies, 6 lenses and misc. things.
