High-Speed Networking

In addition to eight Gigabit Ethernet ports, the QSW-308-1C has three 10G SFP+ ports for fast connections to network storage drives.

Device Flexibility

The QSW-308-1C brings together technologies with its SFP+ / RJ45 combo port, which can deliver up to 10 Gb/s speeds using copper Cat 6a and Cat 7 cables.

Plug-and-Play

With its plug-and-play design, you simply connect devices to the switch and the QSW-308-1C will handle the rest. It automatically detects the duplex and negotiates optimal speed for connected devices.

Quiet Operation

The compact desktop switch's ventilated, fanless, construction allows it to work silently in the background of your office while maintaining high performance.

QNAP QSW-308-1C-US Reviews

Perfect for my needs

Am very happy with this flexibility-of-use, unmanaged switch. My network backbone is 1GbE (wired), so, this is a simple plug-in-and-use device that now services 2 x 1GbE PCs, and a printer. But to one side I also require a 10GbE PC to interact with a 10GbE NAS, in the same office space. I use two of the 10GbE ports for that... and it works great. That leaves me with one free 10GbE port, and which is earmarked for use when I upgrade my wired backbone to 10GbE later this year. At that point I can also relocate the (expensive, and not immune to being accidentally knocked/damaged) NAS out of the office for better, secure placement in the switch cabinet. All this with the flexibility of using either RJ45 copper, and/or SFP interfaces One inconvenience though that has made this 4 star. I have plugged a Ubiquity UF-RJ45-10G CopperModule into one of the SFP ports and which works fine... but I cannot unlatch it to pull it out - the module lever just cannot slide on top of the latch holding the module in to push it down... it just bangs into it. Use of excessive force is not a welcomed attribute of any expensive networking equipment. While I don’t foresee a need to have to take it out in the near future wouldn’t it be a perfect world if I at least had that easy option one day?
