If used to record multiple 1080p60 signals, do the signals have to be synchronous? (Do incoming signals all have to be genlocked to the same reference?)
Asked by: Derek
Hello Derek, the SST2 is A-SYCNRONIZED, as long as all the signals (Resolution and frame rate) coming in matches "input 1" which becomes the "master. So if your first is 1080p60 (which is the max for quad) then the others must be 1080p60 as well.

question

Does this unit allow slow motion playback for a live production setup?
Asked by: Ken
ATOMOS Shogun has slow motion available in playback mode. If you pause video playback, it will automatically display the slider that is above the playback controls. This will give you access to the forward and reverse speed option.

Is it possible to rack three of these together and start and stop recording simultaneously for multi-cam ISO recording? If so, what controller or software is used for that?
Asked by: Jason
Hello Jason, the only way to do that is with the RS-422 controller that can connect all three devices at once. the only other way is to press record on all at once as well. We have HDMI/SDI trigger as well but those also have to be pressed at the exact same time.
