Ideal for precise and selective lighting of a subject, the Projection Attachment with 85mm Lens for S30 Focusing LED Light from Godox is an optical modifier that allows the S30 to project a de-focused soft circle or a focused hard circle of light. Among the many optional accessories for the Protection Attachment are a 60mm wide-angle lens for covering a large area while close up, and a 150mm telephoto lens for projection from a distance. Four optional shutter blades allow you to block off areas of light to create projected slits, squares or triangles, while separately-purchased steel gobos with patterns such as fire etched into them can be projected on scenery. There's also a set of scrims for lessening the light output and an iris for varying the size of the circle of projected light.

I had no idea how much fun adding this to my kit would be
I had been thinking about making one of these or something with mirrors but when I found I could use this with my SL60 I went ahead and ordered it. The screens are a little limited so I also ordered a gobo pack a week or so later. Even without using the gobos I find I am enjoying the ability to use this for spot lighting on faces or on backgrounds.

Ordered it with TWO sets of Gobo. Got the projection it self but no gobo sets. So, can't really judge.
Great bit of kit but
The projection attachment works as described and am pleased with teh results. Also purchased the Iris Diaphragm and a set of Godox GoBo's at the same time. Was disappointed when it came to using the GoBos. Neither the projector nor the GOBO set included the holder for the GoBo's nor is there a convenient way to DIY.
Broken Knob
The thumbscrew is not very well made and I had one break. Fortunately these Godox prices are such a good value that I bought a unit just for parts. I currently use 3 of these on a regular basis.

Good piece of equipment for adding a variety of lighting effects. Note: Rosco 66mm gobos do fit this unit, so that opens up a lot of additional options. Recommend the Godox 60mm Wide-Angle Lens for smaller shots / studios.
Godox Projection Kit for S30 Focusing LED Light with Bowens
Works well and gets the job done. Sharp projection, right to the corners (although, better to de-focus it a little as it's too sharp!). The window images are awesome. Get very hot. Using with a 60W Godox SL60W (not included) for a small room. Just enough light, but I would recommend something much stronger if you're projecting from a good distance.
Bowens adapter doesn't work on most Bowens style lights
The projector itself was ok. Seemed a little clunky and not fully developed. But I guess for the price, it's not bad. The Bowens adapter, however, is pretty much useless. It didn't work with my AD600 or AD400 or my Aputure 300d II. The only way I was able to test it out at all was but mounting it to an AD200 pro with the roundhead attached, and that mounted on it's own female Bowens adapter. I said forget it! Packed it back up and back to the store it goes.
