Lexar 128GB CFexpress Type B Reviews

it didn't want to work in the Canon r5c

At first it didn't want to work in the Canon r5c. Not formatted. Connected to a PC through a card reader Lexar and recorded a video file. And bingo - the card became available in Canon r5c, just formatted it in the camera and that's it. And before that, nothing helped.

The card works nicely. No issues so far. The card read also works flawlessly and isn't as cheap feeling as I thought it would be. It also transfers Massive amounts of data in under a minute. The last show I did had 15 minutes of 8K Canon RAW LT footage. I didn't even have time to make a coffee before the footage was fully transferred. Very happy with this sale buy. If you can swing the extra couple bucks for a CFX Type B card, I highly recommend.

very nice package.

i have not owned a lexar card before, but i must say i 'm quite impressed. very fast and accurate. as far as the reader goes, it does get a bit warm, but i knew that was a issue with this going into it. overall very happy with both pieces. and would recommend it.

Blazing fast speed in a durable form factor

CFexpress and XQD Cards are my favorite memory cards. They offer both speed and durability. No bent pins like the old Compact Flash cards were known to suffer, and not too small and thin like SD cards. The included reader feels substantial. Time will tell, but I get the impression it will last for years of use and travel.

Card do the job but the reader is crap

Depending on the brand of card you put in this card reader, sometime you need to struggle to force it out, not sure if I got a defective one or they are just of poor quality. Well, the reader comes free with the card so I do not bother to get a replacement as I purchase from overseas.

Works great with my new Canon R5! You really can't beat these prices either. Same card will cost you at least double in Europe or Asia. I was worried about other comments regarding the card reader overheating, but didn't experience this myself. Everything worked perfectly fine.

No Issues, Gets SMOKIN' Hot

This is now the fastest card I own for read or write speeds, though sustained read speeds on Win11 are around 650MB/s. Buffer on Z6 II clears almost instantly when shooting to just this card. It gets the HOTTEST when using with ProGrade's USB-C card reader for both CFExpress B and UHS-II cards. Even when using this card alone, it gets SO hot, even at idle. Be careful when using in conjunction with that card reader.
