Ideal for solo podcasters, this B&H Kit includes the Audio-Technica AT2035 cardioid condenser microphone, an in-line XLR-to-USB audio interface, closed-back studio headphones, a boom arm with an XLR cable, and a nylon pop filter with a gooseneck. Between the mic's ambience-reducing polar pattern, the interface's plug-and-play functionality, and the vibration-isolating shockmount, this kit enables you to easily record clean and clear speech for podcasts in the convenience of your own home.
Audio-Technica AT2035 Cardioid Condenser Microphone
Balancing value and strong audio performance, the Audio-Technica AT2035 condenser microphone offers a smooth and detailed sound at a price point that's accessible for home-based musicians, vocalists, and podcasters. The large-diaphragm condenser capsule incorporates a cardioid polar pattern for minimal feedback and off-axis noise, a welcome trait when tracking in untreated rooms. Plus, the supplied custom shockmount helps keep extraneous handling and foot noise down.
Engage the -10 dB pad to increase headroom and capture incredibly loud sources up to 158 dB SPL without distortion. When low-frequency rumble/hum or overwhelming bass invade your signal, turn on the 80 Hz high-pass filter switch to attenuate the lows without resorting to EQ. Since the AT2035 is a solid-state condenser with an XLR output, it should be mated to an XLR-equipped mic preamp capable of sending 48V phantom power, or anything between 11 to 52 VDC.

Auray PFNY-6 Nylon Pop Filter with Gooseneck and C-Style Clamp
Designed for use with microphones, the Auray PFNY-6 is a pop filter that minimizes vocal plosives and reduces errant breath noise. It's suitable for home and pro studios alike, and lends itself to all sorts of recording applications, including sung vocals, voiceovers, broadcasts, and podcasts.
The PFNY-6 utilizes a double-layered nylon screen, affording a clear view of the capsule; thus, the PFNY-6 won't impede a vocalist from giving a robust-sounding performance, captured on-axis. Additionally, this screen protects your microphone capsule from corrosive moisture.
Its 13" flexible gooseneck will give you plenty of room to maneuver, allowing you to place the screen as close to the capsule as you'd like. A sturdy C-clamp with a thumbscrew fastener protects against slippage, while a rubber grommet and padding protect your mic stand's finish.
