Featuring a portable, versatile light source with color, light intensity, and power options, the Solix Bi-Color 1-Light Kit with Apollo Orb and Stand from Westcott is an ideal choice for image-makers in the studio or on location. The kit includes the Solix Bi-Color fixture, power adapter, frosted diffusion, set of 4-way barndoors, collapsible softbox, a 43" Apollo Orb Octabox, and an 8' light stand.

Westcott designed the Solix to be straightforward and user-friendly; the light has one simple dial for all adjustments. Color temperature is variable from 3200 to 5600K to accommodate any ambient light condition, integrate seamlessly with other fixtures, or spark creative expression. The light earns a high CRI/TLCI rating of 97/98 - an indicator of superior accuracy in the rendering of color. Offering another option; light intensity is variable too, from 1 to 100% while the output is flicker-free at up to 960 frames per second.

The Solix has a wide beam spread of 120 degrees that can be contoured by swinging one or more leaves of the included 4-way barndoors into the path of the light. Other convenience features include a built-in speedring that accepts rod-based softboxes weighing up to 4.5 lb, while its tilter bracket has an umbrella channel and a 5/8" receiver for industry-standard light stands. The Solix Bi-Color is ready for worldwide use with the included 100 to 240VAC adapter, but with an optional cable, it will also run on D-Tap / PowerTap batteries when mains power is unavailable. As a bonus Westcott includes a collapsible softbox to temper the bright LEDs, as well as a travel case for storage and transport.

Impressive Light Quality

The powerful 90W Solix Bi-Color provides dimmable output up to 3100 lux at 3.3' with color accuracy up to 97 CRI and 98 TLCI.

Hassle-Free Design

A single control dial with digital display is used to adjust color temperature and light intensity to eliminate any guesswork. Adjustable 3200K tungsten to 5600K daylight seamlessly integrates into any lighting environment.

Built for Portability

The compact Solix Bi-Color LED is lightweight and compatible with wired AC power and optional D-Tap / PowerTap batteries with an optional D-Tap cable.

Versatility

The Solix Bi-Color is a continuous light source with locking rotatable speedring for attaching rod-based softboxes weighing up to 4.5 lb. The tilter bracket allows for positioning and umbrella mounting.

Consistent Performance

With flicker-free output up to 960 frames per second, minimal heat through prolonged run times, and a low-decibel internal fan, the Solix is an ideal light source for both photographers and video content creators.

Added Convenience and Control

The removable all-metal barndoors and diffusion cap precisely direct and soften output. These accessories can be used separately or in tandem. The PowerStrap secures the power source directly to a stand or boom. A padded travel case stores and protects the kit during travel.

What is the fan noise like please? I want to use these lights for a talking head video, close to an overhead boom mic. Thanks!
Asked by: Nicholas
I feel the fan is barely noticeable. It's quieter (by far) that some other (cheaper) LEDs I own as well as some of my monolight strobes

Hello, is there a way to mount a Bowen’s modifier to this light? Thanks.
Asked by: Colin
No. You can attach anything with wands (I've used my Elinchrom Rotolux octaboxes as well as Chimera softboxes directly. There is no way to mount a Bowens modifier except with gaffers tape.
