Great Card for the Canon R5

Great card for me. Fast enough to handle 8k RAW video and 20fps photos at 45MP with ease while also having enough storage (128GB) to never need to switch out cards. I shoot music/events and can have ~5-hour days with ~600-800 photos with lots of room to spare. Just purchased a copy of this card as backup and peace-of-mind, but as yet no issues to report.

Very Good large capacity card.

I use this card to transfer photos from a 2TB thunderbolt drive to a computer that doesn't have thunderbolt. It works. I have found that as these cards heat up the transfer speed decreases, I filled a plastic container with ice, put the lid on and set the card reader on top. This kept the reader and card cold and the transfer speed much higher,

This is not only affordable but very reliable, there is no worse feeling than being out on a shoot and have your memory card fail or find you haven't downloaded the files and find it full. This Lexar has saved my hide in just a situation and for the money you can't go wring

Is the sustained write speed of this card sufficient for the 8k30 Raw on the Canon R5? (2.6Gbps == 325MBps)
Asked by: William
This is the best type of card you can get for the R5. In 8K RAW 30 the data rates are about 2600 Mbps. I would probably suggest a different CFExpress card with a faster write speed if you're aiming to film in 8K raw.
