The B2-Pro-II 60mm Screw-Knob Pro Clamp by Really Right Stuff is compatible with most Arca-Swiss style camera plates, camera bars, and multi-purpose rails. It features a captive knurled knob for a better grip when applying clamping pressure, plus safety stop relief grooves to prevent plates with safety stops from accidentally slipping out when loosened. The integrated bubble level ensures precise horizontal orientation. The base design allows the B2-PRO-II to mount directly on products rosette-type platforms. Additionally, the included rosette adapter makes it compatible with tripod heads with tongue-groove design. The top of the clamp features three threaded counter-sunk sockets, which accept 1/4"-20 and metric 6 (M6) threaded screws for mounting to a ball head stem. The outer sockets are spaced 30mm apart. The center 1/4"-20 socket is also threaded 3/8"-16 on the bottom to allow it to mount from beneath to a 3/8"-16 male stem.

I have all-Manfrotto attachments, but now, a RRS l-bracket on my heavy DSLR. Using this clamp with a Manfrotto plate with anti-torque plug installed (and 3/8 to 1/4 inch sleave...), it goes right together. Pop this assembly onto my Manfrotto ballhead, and the L-bracket is right at home.

The quick release grips aren't strong enough to retain the heavier lenses. The quick release has real problems with vertical macro pictures.

I have yet to find a Really Right Stuff product that is not well-designed and of exceptionally high quality. I have several of these clamps for my RRS ball heads.

I'm a huge fan of the RRS quick release clamps and wanted to pickup a screw-knob version. The knob is smooth to turn and easy to operate. RRS for the win!

I bought this to work with my Nikon z6 and my crane 3S. I have my Z6 on a RRS plate and hated having to take it off every time I used my gimbal. This fixed that problem and holds the camera really good. Now all I have to do is line the marks up and I am ready to go.

I attached it to MH496-BH of Manfrotto Befree GT Travel Carbon head. I used Haoge Female to Male Boss Adapter Convertor for Replace Manfrotto Bogen Tripod Ball Head to Arca Swiss Compatible Quick Release Clamp Replacement for installation. The processing and shape are precise, and the finish is luxurious. I'm satisfied. My only complaint is that the tightening knob is large.

Whether you can mount the Really Right Stuff B2-Pro-II 60mm Screw-Knob Pro Clamp on your existing head will depend on the connecting method on your head. This clamp features one threaded 3/8"-16 recessed center socket flanked by two threaded 1/4"-20 recessed center sockets, the RS-Pro-II can be mounted from beneath directly on a tripod head platform, or from above using 1/4"-20 or M6 screws.

Thank you everyone for your response. But I'm still wondering: if I mount this on a flat surface, and that surface extends out past the bottom of the clamp (not to the knob, of course), does the diameter of the shaft allow for clearance so the clamp sits firmly on the flat surface? Sometimes I use clamps on something other than ball heads. Thanks again.

Yes, the bottom surface of the Really Right Stuff B2-Pro-II 60mm will seat flat on the camera support plate system similar to BH #PLPMPMT1009. However, the knob can not be under the same plate surface because it's larger than the clamp high. The knob is 25mm while the plate is only 18mm. I will recommend the BH #REB2LRII with the Level since this part is the same high as the clamp and won't interfere if you place your plate on a flat surface.
