Great lens with unusual focal

I bought this lense shortly after getting the Sigma DC DN 56mm 1.4 which is a fantastic lens with a 35mm equivalent field of view of 112 mm. I have always loved shooting with 100mm and 135mm prime lenses. This is for the MFT version. I personally find the 50mm focal length a bit boring and prefer shooting with something either a bit wider like 35-40 mm or in this case 60mm. I find this is better for portraits and candids. The lens is very sharp wide open. Pretty large for MFT but not heavy. I am surprised it is a bit bigger than the Sigma 56mm 1.4. I just wish the lens was weathersealed.

This is the first prime I have owned and I have been blown away by how sharp this thing is. Low light handling has also been amazing. for the price to try out a prime I am in love.

This line of lenses is fantastic, I use it with my Sony a6000 and it really lets the hardware shine vs the stock lenses that came with the body. Pictures are much clearer and better in my typical low light shooting. What a difference!

sharp lens for both video and still photography

This lens is awesome. It gives all the bokeh you could want and then some (it's too much sometimes, and I don't use the maxed-out 1.4 as often as I thought I would). Besides that, it creates incredibly sharp images and amazing depth in colors and blacks. I will definitely be purchasing the 16mm and 56mm variants of this lens as well, but if you're going to get one of them, get this one first! It's incredibly versatile and the best bang for the buck.

Excellent budget lens

Very nifty little lens with great autofocus time, and its nearly silent while doing so. a tiny bit of fringing at f 1.4, but that basically goes away when you set it lower.

I read somewhere that canon sl2 supports efm lenses....will this support sl2...if so is this better choice than sigma 30mm 1.4 Art lens for sl2
Asked by: B.R.
Lenses with a canon EF-M mount cannot be used on the canon SL2 camera body. There is no adapter to use these kind of lenses. The Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC HSM Art Lens for Canon EF is compatible with the Canon SL2 and is a good choice. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/3Cjz0SL

Asked by: Gary
No, the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Canon EF-M does not work on the Canon R7. And there are no adapters made. That lens is not RF or EF/EF-S, but is EF-M.

This lens does have a very fast auto-focus. The speed is also determined by the camera itself. Make sure that the settings are set for faster auto-focus as well for the best usage.

No it won't fit on an 80D. It's an EF-M mount lens and you need an EF mount lens for your 80D. Sigma makes tons of lenses for EF mounts, do a search.
