Tamron 24mm f/2.8 Di III Reviews
Cost-effective lens
Super shape and compact lens as well as good price but the distortion is a little bit too much.
Great Urban Exploration Setup
Purchased this as a fast prime for slipping into a sling pack for around town adventures. Serves that purpose wonderfully. Durability to be determined as this will see a lot of service.
Cost and benefit
I've used it twice so far. I recommend this lens for its size and reduced weight. Sharp images, albeit with large barrel distortion that can be corrected in editing. As a result, it was worth the investment.
Sharp and compact
Nice focal length for my sony apsc becomes a general street photography lens. Not too wide at 36mm equivalent.
Just right for my needs
I originally purchased a Rokinon 24mm from B&H but found the focusing slow and not terribly accurate. I was advised by the B&H tech advisor that I'd probably find the Tamron more to my liking and it was like night and day. I was so surprised at the difference. In comparison, the only advantage in the Rokinon was the weight. The Tamron is a bit heavier but the macro capability and the sharp images make this a terrific purchase.
super macro 24mm)
very good for its value
A Fine Lens At A Modest Price
I have a 20MM lens that I discovered is just too wide. This lens finds the Goldilocks spot between wide enough but not too wide. Excellent for landscape (as you would expect) and works well for indoor architecture and family group shots. Has plastic body but that means that it is more light weight than you would expect and has otherwise good build quality. I give it a Two Thumbs Up.
Great Lens
I really enjoy this lens. It is light to carry and I have found this to be an excellent lens. The quality of the photos are sharp. I like the fact you can get up very close to your subject if you want (about 5 inches) and the background is a nice soft blur so your subject really pops. I use this lens on a Sony A6000 so the field of view is 36mm which is great for street photography and use as a walk around lens. It is a versatile lens that I allows me to get a variety of photos when walking around. Highly recommend this lens.
