Bright constant f/2.8 maximum aperture affords consistent brightness throughout the zoom range and offers improved control over depth of field.
Two aspherical elements, including one large-diameter molded element, help control spherical aberrations and distortions for sharper, more accurate rendering.
Two SD low dispersion elements control color fringing and chromatic aberrations throughout the zoom range for greater clarity and color accuracy.

Tokina atx-i 11-16mm f/2.8 CF Reviews

Best wide lens on a budget

This lens caught my eye with its price, and I don't think there is a better option with this focal length for under $1,000. 11mm is as wide as I could've wanted, but having 16mm allows you to minimize distortion and gives you a bit more flexibility with framing shots. I've used it for video on my Canon T7i and the autofocus is very fast even at 2.8. I plan on using this one for years.

Had a SLR magic 8mm f4 lens that served me well on my pocket 4k as a native micro 4/3 lens But since I had a metabones, using the tokina in conjunction gave me about the same focal length with higher sharpness and speed. Feel good about that decision

Perfect for Real Estate!

I was incredibly surprised by the sharpness of this lens. I ended up getting some real estate business and needed a wide angle on the fly. The Tokina came through. I use it all the time. 11mm is a little wonky with slight distortion but I mainly use 12mm on photo and 16mm on video. Autofocus is a bit noisy but so are my sigma. I feel like the 11-20mm is probably a better deal but my other glass is all 77mm filter thread so I went with the 16. Haven't had a single regret buying and have considered getting the Tokina 105mm. It really is a great lens

Nicely done

Fits and functions as desired, although on my Canon T3i the photos information (Meta data) does not indicate which lens was used. In fact it shows the previous Canon lens used on that particular camera body. I have all Canon lens except one other, which shows NO LENS when I use it. This situation is not the end of the world, simply something to be aware of.

When the rep suggested this lense at first I was a little doubtful that it will help me. But after trying the lens I fell in love. I'm still getting used to on when to use it but so far it has helped me a lot.
