Thanks to the Mavic Mini's downward vision system and GPS, it can precisely hover in place both indoors and outdoors.
Creator Templates

I like the packaging, the ease of assembly etc. but I wish there were better instructions for flying. Like the app needed for the phone to work with the flight control device, and just general instructions. They are nowhere to be found. I am really anxious to try a few test flights as soon as I can get it all together and researched.

If you watch the comparisons of quality, the only DJI drone beats this is the Mini2, because it has 4k. Apart from not being able to see behind itself, it's pretty much idiot proof (set the auto return to home height 120ft +, that way, even if you lose it, it'll come back to you).

I moved from a DJI Phantom 2 to the Manic Mini. The Mavic Mini is so much easier to fly. Not having to mount a GoPro on it makes it much more convenient. I was very impressed with the quality of the videos. Unless you are seriously thinking of move up to a multi-thousand dollar drone, Mavic Mini is a great place to start.

You do not need to have data or wifi to fly DJI aircrafts. When there is no data you just won't get updated maps of the area. The aircraft communicates directly to the controller and smartphone running the DJI Fly application.
