Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro Overview

If you take your mobile photography seriously, then the Redmi Note 8 Pro Dual-SIM GB Smartphone from Xiaomi may be the perfect smartphone for you. The rear camera array features four different cameras, including a huge 64MP wide sensor that can achieve poster-sized resolutions. You also get an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 120° field of view, a 2MP camera dedicated to close-up macro photography, and a 2MP depth sensor for smooth, blurred, bokeh backgrounds.

On the front of the camera, a large 20MP selfie camera supports both HDR and panorama shots. In addition to mobile photography, the Note 8 Pro offers a variety of video recording options. You can film standard videos at up to 4K/30p resolution, and slow-motion videos at 120 or 960 fps. Video quality is enhanced with gyroscopic EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization). From mobile photography, videography, gaming, and more; it's all done on the giant 6.53" IPS LCD with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Running the Android 9.0 Pie operating system with MIUI 10.0, the phone's powered by a Mediatek Helio G90T chipset, octa-core processor (2 x 2.05 GHz Cortex-A76, 6 x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55), and 6GB of RAM. You can store your poster-sized pics, 4K videos, and slow-motion clips on 128GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded via an (optional) microSD card up to 256GB in size. Note that adding a microSD card will take up the second SIM slot, preventing Dual-SIM functionality.

This phone is unlocked and compatible with GSM/4G LTE networks. If you travel a lot or have a separate work number, you can take advantage of the Dual SIM slots to access both accounts. Connect to the internet and other devices with built-in 2.4+5 GHz Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth 5.0.

Android 9.0 Pie + MIUI 10.0
The Android operating system integrates heavily with Google's services. It's a personalized and customizable OS, allowing you to add your favorite apps or widgets to your home screen. You can even download new themes using the Google Play Store, which offers access to millions of apps, games, books, music, movies, and more. Android 9.0 Pie adds a variety of predictive capabilities, navigation changes, and digital well-being enhancements that let you take control of your Android experience. By learning how you use your phone over time, Pie will automatically adjust certain features for you, such as battery usage and display brightness. With App Actions, Pie uses what it learns to get you to your next task quickly. For example, plug in your headphones and Pie will automatically bring up your last playlist. With Dashboard and App Timers, Pie lets you see your phone usage in detail, allowing you to set timers and reminders so you can better manage the time you spend using your smartphone.

MIUI 10.0 is an OS developed by Huawei which works with the Android OS to alter the look, feel, and function of the standard Android OS. MIUI 10.0 is designed to add additional functionality and a more pleasing appearance for a better overall experience.
GSM / 4G LTE Wireless Connectivity
This phone is designed to work on select GSM networks and is 4G LTE capable. LTE is an advanced cellular network data protocol capable of data speeds so fast that they compete with wired broadband Internet providers. With an LTE connection, this phone should have no problem streaming HD video, downloading apps, uploading photos, or anything else that requires a high-speed data connection. The phone is also backwards compatible with 3G and 2G data for instances when you can't get LTE. In addition to cellular wireless, this phone also features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Note: Not compatible with all cellular networks. Please make sure your provider uses a frequency or band that this phone supports. You can check which bands this phone works with in the Specifications.
International Variant / International LTE
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is an international variant. It can be used in the Americas; however, LTE access may be limited or unsupported, depending on the network, and will not support popular LTE bands in the United States. Please choose your country/carrier above to confirm the network compatibility of this phone. Due to laws in the originating region, some functions may not be available, such as Wi-Fi calling or NFC payment options. If you have any questions regarding our imported smartphones, please feel free to contact our sales or customer service departments. Because this phone is an international variant, the language of the box and the default language of the phone may not be in English. Also, an international AC to USB adapter may be included.
Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS)
Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) allows you to lower your mobile costs when traveling while staying connected. Once your SIM cards are installed, you will be able to receive phone calls and text messages from either without needing to manually choose which one is active. When you want to make a call or send an SMS message, you can select the correct SIM card. When one SIM card is being used for a phone call, the other will not be active until you hang up. Operator charges may apply.
