Composite video, two HDMI, and two VGA inputs help ensure compatibility with a variety of source types. One VGA input can instead act as an output to daisy-chain multiple projectors or displays to show the same image source in multiple places. A built-in 16W speaker mitigates the need for an external sound system, though you can use one with the analog audio inputs and output. An IR remote control and a VGA cable are included as an added convenience.

Long-Life Laser Light Source

Blue laser diodes are combined with phosphor to produce bright, clear images with vivid colors. With no lamp to replace, maintenance cost is reduced, and the projector is more eco-friendly. The onboard cooling system runs at noise levels as low as 34 dB. The light source can last up to 20,000 hours in normal mode, or up to 50,000 hours in reduced brightness modes.

This technology helps make images appear more real by enhancing sharpness, gloss, and shade. You can also adjust the effects by three levels according to your surroundings so that the colors of projected images are closer to the actual colors of the objects they represent.

Aspect Zoom

Aspect Zoom projects the maximum image size while retaining the aspect ratio of the image.

HDCR2 (High Dynamic Contrast Range)

Using HDCR, blurred images caused by room lighting or outside light sources are corrected, helping to make images appear clearer, even in bright rooms.

Cloning Function

Copy configuration settings, such as gamma and keystone, to other MC-EX5001 projectors via your USB drive.

MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) lets you mirror your phone or tablet screen via the projector. It is compatible with nearly all apps.

Perfect Fit 2

Perfect Fit 2 lets you adjust each corner and side independently of one another. It provides vertical and horizontal digital correction of either barrel or pincushion distortions, helping to correct geometric and complicated distortions. Perfect Fit 2 allows the projected image to fit correctly onto the screen quickly and easily.

Projector Quick Connection App for Mobile Devices

Maxell's mobile app offers full projector control and provides the capability to display photos, documents, and website contents. Available for iPad, iPhone, and Android devices, it works over your LAN via your RJ45 port or an optional USBWL11N wireless adapter.

Input Source Naming

You can name input sources to something more easily recognizable instead of factory default names.

Network Control, Maintenance, and Security

Embedded networking gives you the ability to manage and control multiple projectors over your LAN. Features include event scheduling, centralized reporting, image transfer, and email alerts for reactive and routine maintenance.

Computer-Less Presentation

By using a USB memory stick or other storage device, you can use the projector without a computer. Menus are easy to see with a thumbnail display. There is also a slideshow function.

PIN Lock / MyScreen / MyText

PIN lock protection can limit projector users. MyScreen PIN lock keeps captured images on the startup screen. Users can set any name logo to MyScreen, clearly identifying ownership. MyText provides the ability to write text on the startup screen, such as model name, serial number, or location.

DICOM Simulation Mode

The MP-EW5002 offers a DICOM Simulation Mode that allows the projector to simulate the results of devices compliant with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 standardized display function, for display of grayscale images. The DICOM Simulation Mode, which supports both Blue and Clear Base, adjusts the gradation between the minimum and the maximum luminance, so gradation is distributed optimally. This feature is optimized for displaying medical images such as X-rays, CAT scans, and MRIs, which makes the MP-EW5002 useful for non-diagnostic purposes such as lectures, academic meetings, and hospital conferences. This feature is recommended for use in medical schools for training and educational use only.

Wireless Presentation Compatible

Connect the projector to a computer or your network using the optional USBWL5G USB wireless adapter.

360° Rotation and Portrait Projection

Rotate the projector as you like and project in portrait orientation for creative applications and enhanced installation flexibility.
