Why is the 5TB double the thickness of the 2TB? I really hope they didn't put 2 HDDs in there.

Thank you Moe. You need to fix the specs listing if they are truly the same. Also the photos. If you look closely you will notice a different thickness on the 2TB and 5TB.

I just bought this drive and neither my desk top nor my new Laptop recognize this drive. the power light comes on and that is all that happens. I'm getting very frustrated am I doing something wrong. I have plenty of other external HDD. but never one with USB C before.

If the backup was created with the WD Utilities, you would need to use that software to recover the files. If you used alternate software you would need to review their documentation.

B&H # WEBFTM040BSL has a first generation USB 3.1 port. The USB port will transfer the same speeds as B&H # WEBFKT004BGY.
