This KLP-525-3NL Universal Lens Plate from Kirk Enterprises is designed to adapt any lens that utilizes a lens foot measuring up to 5.25" long, as well as select lenses with a lens foot that features three 1/4"-20 accessory threads, to an Arca-type compatible quick release clamp. That lens foot may be directly attached to the lens or instead connected to a lens foot collar.
Three movable 1/4"-20 mounts allow the plate to be connected to a compatible lens foot or lens foot collar. While in use, an anti-twist lip along the surface of the plate helps to prevent unwanted rotation of a lens while it is adapted to a clamp. The anti-twist lip is reversible and features surfaces that are angled at 90° or 30°. When the surface that most corresponds to the shape of the attached lens foot heel is used, contact between the lip and the heel is maximized, which minimizes lens movement. Dual retaining screws are included for use along the underside of the plate. These screws prevent the plate from accidentally sliding off when the clamp it is placed on is opened. For direct attachment to accessories such as a tripod or straps that feature 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 mounts, the surface of the plate is tapped with one 3/8"-16 female accessory thread and three 1/4"-20 female accessory threads.
