Peak Design Everyday Sling 6L V2 Reviews

Exceptionally well made.

I bought this for travel. It holds a Fuji x body with small lens attached, plus two small primes. It is well designed and a practical way to take camera gear on a plane.

Quality and form, all I need in a bag

I was recommended this store for a camera bag, so I checked out the flagship in Hayes Valley. I was not disappointed; I literally wanted everything. I got this bag, and it feels solid. The strap has such a strength to it, and the fasteners & buckles are solid! It protects my camera perfectly, and I even use it without my camera just for everyday stuff or on travel. It looks slick. I hope to get more products, like the wrist strap, backpack, or even the duffel soon. Love it all.

Strap loosening CONSTANTLY

I love my everyday sling 6L, unfortunately the strap at the bag end constantly loosens. It’s super annoying, I like the adjustable strap clasp gig, but that is nullified when the straps that weave through the plastic on the bag end constantly loosen until they even fallout! After all kinds of effort to make it stop, I finally put a piece of double sided tape in the loop of the plastic web. Ghetto but I’m not annoyed, although it annoys me that I need that to make it work as claimed.

Incredible Bag!

I own both the 3L and the 10L, and while I know they’re not strictly ‘waterproof’ but water resistant, I’ve just taken the 3L sling out in what turned into a flood level downpour. I was wearing a waterproof but had to change ever item of clothing I had on down to and including my underwear, but my camera gear was absolutely bone dry! These bags are full of useful features, and have really increased my enjoyment of photography for their simplicity yet functionality. I would absolutely recommend one to anyone!

Great daypack

I keep the 10L sling to use as a daypack to carry an iPad pro, tech pouch, and water/snacks around to meetings. It works great as a secondary pack, a personal item on flights etc. The materials and organization are top notch as usual.

Fantastic, Appropriately sized Tote-Around-Town

I bought the Medium sized sling, and reduced the dividers to just one (one big and one small compartment) to allow me to lug my Nikon Z9 camera body with attached Voigtlander 40 mm 1.2 lens....a tad on the snugger side, but no problems easing the camera out and into the bag. I love the option to convert to a bum bag carry!

I use this as my edc with iPad and some accessories. Overall I love it. The only thing I wish were diff was a slightly better design for the tablet compartment. With a case on my iPad pro (10.5), I really have to squeeze it in through the opening. It’s not that there’s too little space in the tablet compartment, but I think the divider is just a bit too tall.

Fits my 14inch MacBook Pro

I just started using the 10L Sling a couple of weeks ago and I’m just upset that I didn’t get it sooner. I also own the 3L and 6L Slings as well. They are all great by the way. I love the 10L. It even fits my 14inch MacBook Pro. I even got it to fit my iPad Air on lance next to the MacBook. A bit too snug for that but it worked. I will say that I like the pockets in the 6L better. There are less organizing pockets in the 10L but I’m getting used it regardless. Super comfortable bag.

Could it fit my Sony A7R3 + 24-70GM attached?
Asked by: nhan
Definitely. It will be to the top and a touch tight if placed vertically, but should still close and give you room for another lens of any girth (though a 70-200 might be too tall. If placed horizontally, it would as well and allow another small lens. I either carry 3 lenses in mine or a A7r III with a 135 GM attached and a 35 or a 50 ZA.

Is the strap long enough to be able to use this as a cross-chest-arrangement, with the bag resting on the opposite hip from the shoulder? (I hope this makes sense!)
Asked by: John
Yes, the Peak Design Everyday Sling v2 (6L, Black) for most is long enough to sling over to one's hip.

If the lens is not connected to the camera, it may be possible to use the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR Camera and the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS II USM Lens inside the Peak Design Everyday Sling v2 (6L, Black); however, it may be a snug fit.

Hi! Im curious if anyone has experienced and strange wear/tear/scratches on any camera bodies or lenses due to the fabrics of this sling? Specifically the "origami style" dividers. I just got this and they seem very rough to me. I am just skeptical about putting $3500 worth of new gear into it. I love PD and trust them but right now I am wary. Let me know thanks!
Asked by: Adam
There are no issues with the dividers scratching camera gear, your gear has a much harder surface than the material. If there were metal tabs, etc.. that would be an issue.

It looks like the 6L is big enough for a Sony A7iii with 70-200 f/2.8 GM attached. Is there also enough room to fit a second lens like the 24-70 f/2.8 GM?
Asked by: Jake
This will fit the Sony A7III with the 70-200 GM attached, but there will not be enough room for a 24-70 GM to fit in addition.
