SLR Magic APO MicroPrime Cine 32mm T2.1 Reviews

Don't Sleep on this lens!

As with my review of their APO Microprime 85mm T2.1, These lenses are incredible for their price and quality. The image is crisp, but not overly sharp, bokeh is beautiful, I love how blues and reds are rendered, good contrast... right kind of character, weight and build I needed with my Komodo. I highly recommend paring these with the Canon x 0.71 focal reducer. I hope Slr Magic continues this line with other focal lengths.

love it

This lens shares all of the best characteristics of the SLR Magic APO MicroPrime Cine series; great build quality, nicely dampened rings, easy to read markings, classic flaring, minimal breathing, and reduced chromatic aberration. If you're looking for a modern lens with a classic feel, this might be the one for you.

A great lens for a reasonable price

I love the SLR Magic 32mm MicroPrime - the build quality is solid, the image feels classic, and the focus and aperture rings are extremely smooth. I also like how colors are rendered with this lens, very natural and, with just the right amount of contrast (for me).

I ordered twice same lens from BH, both times I received the lenses with moisture inside. I sent it back for a refund.

In full frame I prefer 50mm normally but this one just looks great and this and the 85mm are the best 2 in the set. 25mm is not good and doesn't match but the others are great.

Great for all shooting conditions so far, solid build, and great for closeups as well as wider set ups.

I just got this and am loving many things about it. But I'm curious if the focus and aperture ring stiffness less over time? It's quite a bit stiffer than I was expecting.

SLR Magic lists the dimensions of this lens as: Dimensions: 10.9cm (ref: http://www.slrmagic.info/product/APO+MicroPrime+CINE+APO32EF) Given the 82mm filter size, the lens is roughly 8.2cm x 10.9 cm.
