Yes, the SSD's are replaceable on the OWC 32TB Accelsior 4M2 PCIE 3.0 M.2 Nvme SSD Hard Drive BH #OWSSDACL32TB. They are not soldered down or glued.

Why do you advertise the Mac Pro 5,1 when it only has PCIe 2.0 and your product uses PCIe 3.0?

Because the 4M2 is backwards compatible with PCIe 2.0. Of course the speeds are reduced, but it works perfectly in the 5,1.

What raid configuration does it come with by default? Is the listed space the usable space or the space before you set up the raid?

By default it comes configured as a RAID 0. 8TB is the pre-formatted size.

I have two raided together and just did a speed test Write: 4738.6 Read: 5939.5 Not sure of the slot speed but at these numbers hold on to your hat and edit till your hearts content. Highly recommend
