Why is this listed as 16GB when the capacity is only 14.4GB?
Asked by: Delta
1. A portion of memory space is reserved for system files and data sector for better performance. and 2. OS says 1GB, but it's actually 1.024GB, so 16 GB \ 1.024 = 15.6. My 500 GB HD only says 465GB. I've been using computers for over 40 years.

question

This says it's backwards compatable with USB 2 but someone told me that the coupling that attaches it to the computer is different than the older USB coupling. I have an older iMac (2011) with usb 2 will this connect properly? Thanks!
Asked by: Anonymous
The connection is a USB standard connection. There is no difference between the USB 3.0 and 2.0 size.
