Countryman I2 Overview

The black I2 Acoustic Guitar Microphone Kit with 2.5mm Locking Connector from Countryman is a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument.

The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and positions the acoustic guitar mount and pickup on the center hole of this instrument. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a 2.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Comtek M-216 and M-72 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.
Complete Control
Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.
Effortless Possibilities
Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.
Polar Pattern
A microphone with a figure-8 (bidirectional) pickup pattern is sensitive to sound coming from the front and coming from the rear, but has a very high rejection for sound coming from the sides. Great for mid/side and Blumlein stereo applications.

What are the dimensions of the mount? I have ...

What are the dimensions of the mount? I have roughly 1.5" of space between the bridge and end of the string, and I want to make sure it will fit my violin.

The specific dimensions of the I2 Violin Mount in the Countryman I2 Violin and Viola Microphone Kit are not provided by the manufacturer, however, this mount should work well in your scenario.
