Countryman I2 Overview

The black I2 Acoustic Guitar Microphone Kit with TA5F Connector from Countryman is a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument.

The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and positions the acoustic guitar mount and pickup on the center hole of this instrument. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a TA5F connector for direct connection to Lectrosonics M185, M187, and UM700 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.
Complete Control
Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.
Effortless Possibilities
Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.
Polar Pattern
A microphone with a figure-8 (bidirectional) pickup pattern is sensitive to sound coming from the front and coming from the rear, but has a very high rejection for sound coming from the sides. Great for mid/side and Blumlein stereo applications.
