Connection/Printer head issues

This printer has been giving us nothing but issues since we bought it for our home office. Constant connection issues. Printer gets clogged often or something because it always looks faded no matter what I do. I bought this printer because it looked like it has good reviews but maybe people who have issues such as I just want to just toss this crappy printer out the window and not ever look back again. I'm going to have to cut my losses and move to a different brand.

If one tank runs out of ink, will the 5850 still be able to print using the remaining tanks?
Asked by: Steve
The Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5850 requires ink in all the tanks in order to print. Printing with an empty tank can potentially damage the printer.

what is the difference between the models? One is easier to print from mobile device, or is faster, or??? It seems like PCL/Postscript compatibility is better to have?
Asked by: Karen
PCL printers seem to be faster and are OS independent. However, if you are using multiple computers with this printer, you would see a difference in the image when sourced from 2 different computers. Also, if you use Mac, PCL printers are not so supported by Mac.

How is the photo print quality with the 5850 or 5880?
Asked by: Tasos
The photo quality will be identical, the only difference between the 5850 and 5880 is that the 5880 is PCL/Postscript compatible. Both have a maximum printing resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi and use 4 x pigment based inks Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black.
