This 24 x 36" Wood Cucoloris from Kupo is cut from high-quality MDF to simulate window blinds when a light is shone through, a simple way to reinforce in-scene lighting when mounted using the 3/8" pin.
Cucoloris, or "cookies", are an age-old tool for creating more detailed patterns and shapes from light sources, which helps to reduce the artificial look created by unmotivated sources. This is especially important when ellipsoidal lights are not available to project patterns using gobos. Kupo's cookie allows you to simulate any manner of light being thrown through a window pane outfitted with blinds, whether it be cool moonlight from an HMI, a blazing sunrise mimicked with tungsten lights, or an alien invasion using your FX-equipped RGB fixtures. For greater variation, the included bracket with an integrated 3/8" pin can be removed and reinstalled in different horizontal or vertical configurations using your 6mm Allen key and 13mm wrench.
