Does anybody have any insight on this lens vs a Venus laowa 12mm zero d 2.9?
The IRIX 11mm T4.3 Cine Lens (Canon EF, Feet) (B&H# IRC11EFI) is slightly wider but lets less light enter. The Venus Optics Laowa 12mm T2.9 Zero-D Cine Lens (Canon EF) (B&H# VE1229CC) is sharper and faster.

The diameter of the front of the IRIX 11mm T4.3 Cine Lens (Canon EF, Feet)
(B&H# IRC11EFI) -- not to be confused with the filter size -- is 95mm which is a very common size to which to attach a matte box. Yes, it would be possible to do so. Given the ultra wide nature of the field of view, however, there will of course be at least some amount of vignetting regardless of the size of the filter, but that is unavoidable.
