Question for X30 AND X50 owners. If you could have only one which one would you pick. Isn't X50 a bit too big for short walks in the woods?
Asked by: Lukasz
The Action X30 is a great packcomfortable, low-profile, relatively light weight and flexible with convenient side access. However, it is crippled in one way that isn't obvious. Shimoda only offers the medium-sized core unit for it. Even though there is enough space to fit a large, they don't make one for the X30. That means that if you only want to carry a single camera and lens but that camera and lens happens to be an X-T3 with a 100-400 or an R5 with a 100-500, you're out of luck. (The X-T3 combo may *just* fit through the back access but not the side access. The R5 combo is a no-go either way.)

Godox Vii flash + remote 7. Manfrotto tripod + 502 AH fluid head 8. Mac book air 13 inch I am confused as to which core unit works best for this gear and wether the Shimoda X50 is good or can I fit all this in a X30.. I really don't want a X70 due to is large dimensions. Please Help?
Asked by: Amit
The Shimoda Action X50 would have plenty of room for your gear with the appropriate adjustments made to the dividers. The tripod would fit outside and the laptop in its own sleeve.
