The lens come with a hard case and a soft case. If I use the soft case, can you just put the “naked” lens in there? I tried to put the hard case in the soft one and it does not seem to fit. Want to be sure the inside of the soft case will not scratch the lens.

The soft case provided will be sufficient against scratches, but not against heavy impact, which the hard one would be better suited to protecting against.
