Venus Optics Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro... Reviews
As they say in Odesa, “the impression was spoiled.”
I was genuinely excited about purchasing this lens and had high hopes for its capabilities. I specifically chose the EF lens for RF mounting because of its automatic aperture, which was a critical feature for my work. However, upon receiving the order, I was disappointed to discover that the lens provided has a manual aperture instead. I would greatly appreciate an explanation of how a lens with manual aperture ended up in my order and package, as this does not align with the product description I relied on when making my purchase. While I trust this was an honest mistake, I must express my disappointment, as it has impacted my confidence in this transaction. As they say in Odesa, “the impression was spoiled.” Nonetheless, I value the reputation of your marketplace and trust that this will be resolved promptly. I will, of course, return the lens and would appreciate clear instructions on how to proceed with the return process. I look forward to hearing from you soon and hope that this matter can be resolved smoothly. Thank you for your attention and understanding. Sincerely, Vladimir
Lives on my Camera
I bought this lens for Macro photography, Bugs and Flowers mostly, and it absolutely lives on my camera. This lens produces sharp consistent images. Its sharpest is generally around F8 but in the right lighting have had luck even at F22. Is there a better macro lens for the money? I sincerely doubt it.
